My whole life has been in the outdoor world. Fishing as a toddler. Firing off bbs and pellets at squirrels and rabbits at age 5. And trapping at age 12 if I even had to guess. The outdoor life is not just something I enjoy, but it’s who I am. And now I am a grown man now with a wife and 3 children. And as a family, hunting, fishing, and trapping has become a major part of our life.
As a youngster, my family ran hounds, chasing coyotes through the countryside. We had CB radios in the trucks so we could communicate during the chase. My Grandpa Dean’s handle was The Old Cur. My dad, Mark, was The Young Cur. And me? Well, they called me The Runt Cur. And as time has passed, my Grandpa has passed way, and the hound life has faded. But the family Cur name, it doesn’t have to. The Cur name will always stay alive through me, my family, and now Dreyton and his family, and The Old Cur Show.
